I discovered Gab Collab! Though I grabbed this blob right before she put up the new blob for this week, so I'm going to post it here instead.

I've been feeling a bit drained (mixture of Oppikoppi and doing a guest blog comic) and down (mainly my Mom harping on about how I'm getting old and should have children? I think that's what she was getting at...)

But my life is slowly coming together again, all my routines are falling back into place and so far this week has been content.

Here are some recipes I've been drooling over: coconut rice, awesome veggie burger, polenta & asparagus tart. Hmm...

Oppi 2012!

Its going on 3 weeks since Oppi, so this is super delayed. I was at a loss as to how to capture and explain the sheer awe of Oppikoppi to others that were not there. It's exuberant, it's comraderie, it's bursting with youth and abandon! Oppikoppi is a purgatory where it is simultaneously terribly harsh but also unbelievably beautiful. Its where there is total freedom.

Adventures in cheese land!

Van Gaalen Cheese farm is about 90mins drive from Johannesburg, and has beautiful views, cute lambs, awesome biking/hiking trails, and of course, very tasty cheese! We missioned out there last Sunday... One thing I would advise is that their restaurant is quite pricey and not worth it (at least not where their sandwiches are concerned!). Rather get some nice bread and wine and buy cheese at their store and go picnic!
